DRDO Unveils BM-04: India’s Next-Generation Short-Range Ballistic Missile for Precision Strikes The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has unveiled its latest advancement in missile technology — the BM-04 short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) — at a prominent defence exhibition in Hyderabad . The newly introduced BM-04 missile is engineered to significantly boost India’s conventional strike capabilities , particularly in the context of strategic deterrence against Pakistan . Specifications of BM-04 Missile The BM-04 SRBM measures 10.2 metres in length with a diameter of 1.2 metres , weighing approximately 11,500 kg . It incorporates a two-stage solid-fuel propulsion system , allowing it to strike targets with high accuracy at ranges of up to 1,500 km .
